Anthi Papakosta was born in Athens by a family originating from Eastern Thrace. She studied Administration and Public Relations and holds the post of Public Relations Director for AEK FC since 2005.

She has served as deputy Mayor of Social Services in the Municipality of N. Philadelphia - N. Chalkidonas, President of the refugee housing program Estia, as well as President of the Municipal Committee of the equality of the sexes. Anthi Papakosta has been appointed as a Secretary of monitoring the construction and the supply chain for the

 construction of the AEK football stadium project. In December 2023, she was appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of AEK FC.
