A few days after winning the Championship, AEK clinched the Double. The 2-0 win over PAOK in the Greek Cup Novibet final in Volos went down in history as one of the most deserved team victories in a final, as AEK was down to ten players from 6' due to Lazaros Rota's sent off, but managed to get the win with goals from Harold Mukudi in 26th minute and Paolo Fernandes on 90+1'.
It was the culmination of a run that included matches against PAS Giannina, Kifissia, Pancerraikos and Olympiacos (whom AEK won 3-0 at the OPAP ARENA) before the glorious finish at Panthessaliko.
