AEK FC drew 2-2 to GNK Dinamo Zagreb in the 2nd leg of 3rd Preliminary Round of  UEFA Champions League 2023-24 and went through Play Off stage. Belgian champions Royal Antwerp are the next opponnents.

AEK FC won a great qualification in one of the biggest nights in their history! Although GNK Dinamo Zagreb managed to score twice with Ljubicic and Butalo, keeping in the other side of the pitch a clean sheet for more than 90 minutes with the great saves of their keeper Livakovic, Greek Double winners made it 2-2 deep in injury time.

Sergio Araujo scored with a stunning volley in the 92nd minute and then 32.000 spectators saw the crazy scenario of the last minutes of injury time: penalty kick to AEK after VAR check by Norwegian ref Espen Eskas for a handball by Ljubicic in the 98th minute, Livaković's save on Levi Carcia's penalty kick and a goal on the rebound with a header by former Dinamo Zagreb player Domagoj Vida!
