ΑΕΚ FC defeated 4-1 Ionikos FC in their historical very first match at OPAP ARENA at Nea Philadelphia for Matchday 6 of Super League 2022-23.

In front of 32.000 fans in a glory night, AEK made an impressive win. COSMOTE MVP Mijat Gacinovic scored the opener with a stunning shot from outside the box after 6 minutes of play. Levi Garcia scored the second in the 26th minute with a header from close range after a cross by a Niclas Eliasson cross.

Two more goals were scored in the second half, one with a deflected shot by Sergio Araujo from inside the box (62') and one by Gacinovic with a volley from the far post, after a cross by Eliasson (66'). Eleftheriadis scored for Ionikos deep in injury time.
