AEK FC defeated Aris FC 2-1 at Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium, Thessaloniki, in a game of Matchday 9 of the Play Off Round of STOIXIMAN SUPER LEAGUE 2022-23.

The result was decided from the first half, when Aris took the lead in the 17th minute with Andre Gray's penalty, but AEK responded with goals from Tom van Weert in the 23rd minute and Steven Zuber in the 43rd minute.

AEK on top of the table, three points clear from Panathinaikos who lost 1-0 to Olympiakos, and now Matias Almeida's team needs at least one point in Sunday's match against Volos at OPAP ARENA for winning the 13th league title of their history!
