Vladan Milojevic the new head coach of AEK FC! \\

ANNOUNCEMENTS \\  27/5/2021
AEK FC announces the appointment of Vladan Milojevic as the new head coach of the club, with contract until the summer of 2023.

Vladan Milojevic was born on March 9, 1970, in Arandelovac, former Yugoslavia. He had an excellent career as a football player, playing for Red Star Belgrade, Panathinaikos FC, Iraklis FC, PAS Giannina FC, Apollon Smyrna FC, Akratitos FC and Kalamata FC, among others.

After hanging up his football boots, he worked as an assistant coach for Cukaricki (2006) and then at the Iraklis FC and Red Star Academies. In 2011 he took over as the first coach of Javor Ivanjica, in the first division of Serbia.

In February 2012, he returned to Cukaricki, this time as head coach. Under his leadership, the Serbian team was promoted to the first division in 2013 and two years later reached the Serbian Cup, defeating Partizan Belgrade (1-0) in the final. In 2015, Milojevic took over the Cypriot Omonia, while in 2016 he returned to Greece to sit on the bench of Panionios.

In 2017, the Serbian coach took over the technical leadership of Red Star, whom he led for the first time in his history to the UEFA Champions League group stage, through three qualifying rounds. In fact, Red Star made an excellent presence at the group stage, with the most important moment being its victory against Liverpool (2-0).

With the Red Star, Milojevic won two championships (2017-18, 2018-19), while he laid the foundations for the third, as when he resigned on December 19, 2019, he left the team in first place, with 11 points difference from the second, while earlier that season he had secured for the second time the presence of Red Star in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

His career with the Red Star earned Milojevic the Serbian Super Liga Coach of the Year award for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, as well as the title of Serbian Coach of the Year for 2017 and 2018. In February 2020, he moved to Saudi Arabia, signing a one-and-a-half year contract with Al-Ahli.

Vladan, welcome to AEK family!
