AEK FC announces Argiris Giannikis as the new head coach of the team. Mr. Giannikis signed until the summer of 2022, with an option to renew until the summer of 2024 for our club.

Argiris Giannikis was born on July 9, 1980 in Nuremberg, Germany. He studied football coaching at the famous school of Cologne, while he also holds a UEFA Pro License. His coaching career started in 2007 at the Karlsruher SC Academy, in which he worked as an assistant coach and as a head coach.

From 2012 to 2016 he worked in the first team of Karlsruher as an assistant to Markus Kauczinski and followed in FC Ingolstadt. In 2017 he took over Rot-Weiss Essen as head coach and VFR Aalen followed in season 2018-19.

In June 2019 he decided to work for the first time in Greece, accepting the proposal of PAS Giannina. The same season (2019-20) led the team of Epirus to return to the Super League, winning the Super League 2 championship, while the following year reached with PAS the semifinals of the Greek Cup and finished in 9th place in the league.
