AEK FC has appointed Radek Kucharski as technical director, as part of its restructuring.
Radoslaw (Radek) Kucharski was born on September 8, 1980, in Poland. He studied business administration, with a master's degree in human resources management, while since 2007 he holds the UEFA A License. A year later he was hired as a head coach for U17 and U19 teams of Legia Warsaw. In May 2011 he took over the position of Director of Academy Recruitment in the Polish team.
At the same time, from May 2013 he started working as a scout for the first team and in the summer of 2015 he took over the position of Scouting Director. In January 2017, Kucharski accepted an offer from Manchester United to lead a team of scouts in the Eastern European region.
In September 2018 he became Legia Warsaw’s new Sporting Director with the Polish team winning two championships and having on its roster 14 players - members of the Polish National Team. From September 2021 he was a member of the technical committee of the Polish Federation.
After signing his contract, the new technical director of AEK FC stated to aekfc.gr: "First of all, I would like to thank the owner of the club for trusting in me. I am very happy to be here and to be part of a club with the history and football culture of AEK FC.
The only thing I can promise is that I will do the best I can, in collaboration with the rest of the club, in order to give the necessary positive energy and make the right decisions, in order to bring AEK back to the track of winning titles. We have before us one of the most interesting projects, in view of the return of AEK to its home, in a wonderful new stadium ".
