AEK FC announces that the loan move of Damian Szymanski from Akhmat Grozny is now permanent until the summer of 2024.
The 25-year-old Polish international midfielder, who has made 16 performances so far during 2019-20 season in all competitions, signed a new for year contract.
Damian Szymański was born in June 16, 1995 at Kraśnik, Poland. He made his first steps in football at the local team of the city (Stal Kraśnik). He signed his first professional contract in 2013 with GKS Bełchatów, where he stayed for three years (51 apps, 2 gls).
The 2017-18 season he played for Jagiellonia Białystok (19 apps, 1 gls). The next season he moved to Wisła Płock (52 apps, 8 gls) and on 12 January 2019 signed a 4.5-year contract with Akhmat Grozny (13 apps).
He made his Poland national football team debut on 7 September 2018 in a 2018–19 UEFA Nations League game against Italy.
