AEK FC announces the loan of Arnór Traustason for one year, with the option of transfer the next season from Rapid Vienna. Traustason is the seventh transfer of the season for AEK FC.
Arnór Traustasonn was born in April 30, 1993 at Keflavík, Iceland. He made his first steps in football at the local team of the city and he named the best young player of the Iceland League in 2013.
The next season he moved to IFK Norrköping of Sweden, where he stayed for two years. Last season (2016-17) he transferred to Rapid Vienna for 2,3 million euros.
Traustason has played for all the youth national teams of his country and in November 13, 2015 he made his first appearance for the main national team of Iceland.
Until now he has 13 appearances and five goals, being also member of Iceland at the Euro of France. At the Euro 2016, his goal was the one that helped Iceland to proceed at the knock out stage of the tournament.
