AEK FC announces its cooperation with the international Swedish footballer Jakob Johansson starting January 1st 2015. The durations of the agreement between the two sides is 3.5 years. The footballer came to Athens, visited the team's training centre in Spata and upon completion of the agreement stated at aekfc.gr: "I'm very happy for this agreement. I know AEK, the Club's size, its history, the bright moments in Greece and in Europe. I’ve been at the Training Centre and I have very good impression. The people I met treated me in the best way. I have big ambitions and I am ready to offer the maximum to my team ".
On Monday 29/12 the footballer will go through medical tests, then will depart for Sweden and will come permanently in Athens on Friday 2nd of January.
Jakob Johansson was born on June 21, 1990 and has spent all of his professional career so far in the 2014 Sweden runners-up Göteborg, playing mainly as a defensive midfielder. He was the first player born in the 1990s that competed in the Swedish championship at age 17 and 6 days. He has played in a total of 203 official matches with the big Swedish Club, scoring 26 times. He was Champion with Goteborg Sweden 2007 and Cup winner in 2008 and 2013. He has joined the country's national football team 3 times, all in 2014. He is the second footballer who transfers to AEK from Gothenburg, thirty years after the acquisition of Hakan Sadberg who played in AEK ATHENS for three years (1984-87).
