AEK FC announces the appointment of Jose Morais as the new head coach. Jose Morais signed until the end of season, with an option for one more year.

Jose Morais, the new head coach of AEK FC, was born in the 27th of July 1965 at Lisbon. His career is connected with Jose Mourinho, who first met him at 2000 from their common spell in Benfica while Mourinho was the First team coach and Morais the head coach of the youth team. When Jose Mourinho moved to FC Porto, Morais was his assistant coach and together won the Uefa Champions League in 2004!

In 2009, after the departure of Andre Villas Boas from Jose Mourinho side at Inter, Jose Morais was appointed as Mourinho's assistant manager for the second time in his career. Once again the two Portuguese  achieved the ultimate goal of winning the Champions League with Inter and as a result Mourinho took Morais with him to Real Madrid and then to Chelsea. Morais worked alongside Mourinho for seven years gaining experiences from the top level and winning several trophies.

Jose Morais has also worked as a head coach of Santa Clara (Portugal), Assyriska (Sweden), Al-Hazm (Saudi Arabia), Stade Tunisien (Tunisia), National Team of Yemen and Esperance (Tunisia). In 2014 won the Super Cup of Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab. His last stop was at Antalyaspor, where he decided to leave just few days ago.

As football player Jose Morais was a midfielder and played in several teams of his country (Uniao Leiria, Atlético Clube de Portugal, Praiense, Penafiel)
