AEK FC announces the signing of the Bosnian defender Ognjen Vranješ, for two and a half years.
Ognjen Vranješ was born in 24 of October 1989 in Banja Luka of Bosnia
and Herzegovina (former Yugoslvia). He started his career at the youth
team of FK Borac Banja Luka and played in the first team for three
years, from 2006 to 2009.
He moved to Red Star and then was loaned to FK Napredak Kruševac and
Sheriff Tiraspol (2010). In 2011-12 played in Russia for FC Kuban
Krasnodar and the next season for Alanya Vlantikafkaz. In 2013-14 he
moved to Turkey for Elazığspor and Gaziantepspor (2014-15). In 2016 had a
loan spell to Sporting Gijón, before he signed for the Russian FC Tom
Tomsk in the summer of 2016.
Ognjen Vranješ has also played for the National team of Bosnia and
Herzegovina 28 times form 2010 until their last game against Greece in
November of 2016.
