AEK FC

The first title after ten years was the start of a golden era. Chaired by Stratos Gidopoulos and Dusan Bajevic as a coach, AEK made a steady course and won the title with a goal by Takis Karagkiozopoulos during the historic game on 7th of May, 1989 in Olympic Stadium of Athens against Olympiakos. Oikonomopoulos, Okonski, Savevski, Manolas, Savvidis and Pavlos Papaioannou were the leading figures of that team.
