Manolo Jimenez the new head coach \\

AEK FC announces the appointment of Manolo Jimenez as the new head coach. Manolo Jimenez signed until the end of season, with an option to AEK FC for one more year.

Manolo Jimenez returns to AEK FC after five years. He was the head coach of our team from October of 2010 until October of 2011 and in this period managed to win the Greek Cup.
Jimenez was born in the 26th of January 1964 in Aral of Andalusia. He had a successful career as a left back, playing for Sevilla FC (1984-97) and he also had 15 appearances with the National team of Spain, two of them in the FIFA World Cup 1990.
He worked as a head coach for 7 years (2000-07) at the reserve team of Sevilla FC (Sevilla Atletico) and replaced Juande Ramos at the first team of Sevilla FC in October of 2007.
During his spell at Sevilla FC, he managed to play at the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League before he leaves on March 2010.
After Sevilla FC, Manolo Jimenez signed for AEK FC, where he stayed for almost a year and then he returned to Primera Division for Real Zaragoza for one and a half year before he moves to Al Rayyan FC of Qatar.
