In cooperation with the City of Athens Homeless Shelter, which tackles problems faced by humans that are without shelter, AEK FC contributed to this role by collecting items that are essential for the people hosted at the shelter. The action took place before the kick off at the OAKA match with Panetolikos and it was a great success.
“Anything you have in excess, someone else may need it” is the motto of the City of Athens Homeless Shelter. People from all ages, old football players and team’s executives contributed the maximum they could, so that to relief the people in need considering the difficult conditions under which they live in.
The initiative was addressed by Mr Evaggelos Aslanidis, President of AEF FC. Mrs Eleni Katsouli, President of the Shelter sincerely thanked AEK FC through a video coverage.
For the implementation of this social responsibility initiative AEK FC witnessed the generous offers of sponsors Geysinous and Oriflame who offered items, and NOVASPORTS who covered the communication needs. It is also worth mentioning the contribution that came from one parent from Ziridis private school that offered food items that valued 2000 euros.
That was the first part of the initiative.
The second part will take place in the next Sunday’s OAKA match with Kalloni.
We will all be there again!
