STEVEN ZUBER \\ Attacker
Steven Zuber was born on August 17, 1991, in Winterthur, Switzerland. He started playing football from the age of six (FC Wülflingen, FC Kollbrunn-Rikon, FC Turbenthal and FC Winterthur Academies). In 2006 he joined the Grasshopper Academy and two years later he made his professional debut. Over the next five years (2008-2013) he played in a total of 146 games with Grasshopper (33 goals, 22 assists) and won a Swiss Cup (2013).

In July 2013 he signed a five-year contract with CSKA Moscow. He made his debut at the Super Cup final against Zenit (3-0), winning his first title in Russia. This was followed by the Russian championship (2014) and another Super Cup (2014). In Moscow he played in 40 games (1 goal, 4 assists) in almost a year.

In the summer of 2014, Zuber moved to TSG Hoffenheim. With the German team he made a total of 115 appearances in all competitions (10 goals, 9 assists), renewing his contract with in January 2017. Two years later he was loaned to VfB Stuttgart, making 15 appearances (5 goals and an assist) in the second half of the 2018-19 season.

In the summer of 2020 he made another expensive transfer, this time moving to Eintracht Frankfurt. In the 2020-21 season he played with the German team in 23 games, having an assist in his assets.

Steven Zuber has also a great career at the level of national teams. At the age of 15 he made his debut with the Swiss National Team U16 and over the next years he played for the U17, U18, U19 and U21 National Teams. Before turning 21, he was a member of the team that represented Switzerland at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

He made his debut with the Men's National Team in March 2017 in the game against Latvia (1-0). He was a member of the team that played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, scoring in the opening match against Brazil (1-1), as well as in the UEFA Euro 2020.

He even recorded an important record, as he assisted all three goals of Switzerland in the game against Turkey (3-1) and became only the third player since 1980 to register three assists in a single EUROs game, after Portugal’s Rui Costa in 2000 and Denmark’s Michael Laudrup in 1984.
