Guido Bonini was born on August 16, 1986 in Argentina. Having worked for Arsenal Sarandi, Atletico Quilmes and Argentinos Juniors, in 2011 he joined the technical staff of Matias Almeyda at River Plate. Since then he has been a close associate of the Argentinian coach, whom he followed to Banfield, Guadalajara and the San Jose Earthquakes. Since the summer of 2022 he is a member of the coaching staff of AEK FC.
