Ilias Atmatsidis is one of the most iconic footballers in the history of AEK FC, defending their goal from 1992 to 2003, winning two League titles and four Greek Cups. His name is identical to AEK and he was one of the most beloved players for the fans. After the end of his footballing career, he was initially involved in coaching and in 2015 he joined the staff of AEK FC Academy. He was goalkeeping coach of U19 and U17 teams but he followed Nikos Kostenoglou in 2019 when he moved to the bench of the first team. Since summer of 2021 he is the General Manager of AEK B that participate in Super League 2.
