GIORGOS TZAVELLAS \\ Defender
Giorgos Tzavellas was born on November 26, 1987. He started his career in the Academy of Doxa Vyrona and in 2004 he was promoted to the first team. A year later he transferred to Terpsithea and in 2006 he signed for Kerkyra FC, making 25 appearances (3 goals) in the next two years.
In 2008 he wore the jersey of Panionios, with whom he made 47 appearances (2 goals, 10 assists) and in the summer of 2010 he signed for Eintracht Frankfurt. He played 30 matches (2 goals and 4 assists) in Germany, before being loaned to Monaco in January 2012.
In the summer of the same year, Monaco went on to buy him and he made a total of 41 appearances (3 goals, 7 assists) in France, before returning to Greece in 2013 to play for PAOK. With the team of Thessaloniki he played in 116 games (6 goals, 6 assists) until January 2017. The next stop in his career was Alanyaspor, with which he made 140 appearances (7 goals, 3 assists) in all competitions.
At the same time, Giorgos Tzavellas has been a key member of the Greek National for a number of years. He joined AEK FC in Jun 2021.
