KARIM ANSARIFARD \\ Attacker
Karim Ansarifard was born on April 3, 1990, in the city of Ardabil in northwestern Iran. His football career began when -at the age of 10- he joined Inter Campus, a non-profit development project run by Italian Inter in 22 countries around the world, including Iran.
In 2005 he transferred to the Academy of his local team, Zob Ahan Ardabil, and a year later he signed for Saipa Karaj. Persepolis (2012-13) and Tractor (2013-14) followed, with Ansarifard making a total of 96 appearances in the first division of Iran, counting 44 goals and 15 assists.
In the summer of 2014 he made his first step outside Iran, with his transfer to Osasuna (17 participations) and in 2015 he came to Greece for the first time on behalf of Panionios. With the team of Nea Smyrni, he played in 51 games, scoring 15 times (5 assists).
In January 2017 he transferred to Olympiakos, with whom he played in 48 matches (22 goals and 8 assists), while in the 2018-19 season he played for Nottingham Forest (12 appearances, 2 goals, 2 assists). In July 2019, he signed for Al Saliya, Qatar, with which he played in 16 matches last season, scored 6 goals and provided one assist.
At the same time, Ansarifard is a key member of Iran's national team. He went through all the youth national teams (U17, U21, U23) and at the age of 19 he made his debut with the Men's national team.
