EHSAN HAJI SAFI \\ Defender
Ehsan Haji Safi was born on February 25, 1990, in Kashan, Iran. He started his football career at the age of 10, when he joined the Zob Ahan Academy. In 2006 he signed for Sepahan and played there for the next nine years, with an one-and-a-half year period (June 2011 - December 2012) playing on loan for Tractor.
In the summer of 2015 he signed for FSV Frankfurt, making 28 appearances (2 goals, 1 assist) in the 2015-16 season, before return to Sepahan, to stay for another season. In June 2017 he came to Greece for the first time for Panionios, with whom he managed to play in 20 games (2 goals, 3 assists), before being sold in January 2018 to Olympiakos, recording 7 appearances (1 goal, 1 assist) until the end of the season. In the summer of 2018 he returned to Tractor until March 13, 2021, when he joined once again Sepahan.
Haji Safi has been international with all the Iran's youth national teams. He made his debut with the Men's National Team at the age of 18 and since then he is a key member of the squad. In the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup he played in all three games of Iran in the group stage.
He joined AEK FC in the summer of 2021, signing a two year contract and in May 2023 renew his contract for 1+1 years.
