AEK FC supports the huge effort of KETHEA ITHAKI and its drug rehabilitation
programs by contributing to the celebrations for the 32nd year of operation. A
group of ten AEK FC football players participated in a video sending a strong
message for the enormous social impact of drug abuse. Set up in 27th November
1983, ITHAKI was the first therapeutic community for drug addicts in Greece.
Its success paved the way for the treatment and social reintegration of Greek
addicts. ITHAKI is a residential program intended for adult users of
psychoactive substances and their families.
Together with KETHEA ITHAKI, another community operates in Thessaloniki
since 2001 that is KETHEA ANADISI which supports teenagers and young people
(ages 13-21) who are drug or internet addicts.
On the occasion of the graduation of participants to ITHAKI’S programs, the
members will be in Athens and they will join us as our guests to OAKA to watch
the game with Panetolikos. The video will be projected so to increase awareness
to the public, a video which has being produced by DreamMaster Productions and
