ΑΕΚ FC drew 0-0 to Panathinaikos FC at Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium for Matchday 7 of the Play Off Round of STOIXIMAN SUPER LEAGUE 2022-23.

AEK faced a big problem due to the viruses that affected some players and changed Matias Almeida's game plans. AEK also lost Lazaros Rota with a forced substitution as he was carried to the hospital with a concussion after Bernard's hit. He also stepped on Rota's ankle in the same moment! The Portuguese referee did not award a foul for this challenge and he had no call from VAR for a possible red card! AEK also lost Jens Jonsson with a forced substitution, in the second half.

Apart from players AEK also missed many great chances. Steven Zuber hit the right post with a header in the 3rd minute and a shot in the 35th minute. In a completely secondary role against a far better team, Panathinaikos was favoured both by the referee and by his good luck.
