AEK FC appoints Bruno Alves as sporting director! \\

AEK FC has reached an agreement with Bruno Alves to be the sporting director of our club starting July the 1st.

Bruno Eduardo Alves was born on November 27, 1981, in Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal. He started his football career at the Academy of his hometown team (Varzim) and at the age of 18 he moved to Porto FC.

In season 2004-05 he game to Greece for the first time to play for AEK FC on a loan deal. He also played for Zenit St. Petersburg, Fenerbahce, Cagliari, Rangers and Parma and retired as a player of Apollon Smyrna.

He was for a number of years a key member of the Portuguese National Team, earning 96 caps (11 goals). He represented his country in three World Cups, three European Championships and one Confederations Cup, winning Euro 2016

At club level he has won four championships, two cups and two Super Cups in Portugal, two championships and a Super Cup in Russia, a championship and a Super Cup in Turkey.
